Created to live on Mars. Destined to kill on Earth.
It was created to live on Mars. Now, it's loose on Earth. V.I.P.E.R. is the bio-engineered brainchild of Dr. Nancy Burnham (Theresa Russell) - genetically and electronically programmed to transform the hostile atmosphere of Mars into a livable, earth-like environment. But the launch of V.I.P.E.R. on the space shuttle goes awry as the mutant beast acquires a taste for human flesh on its first mission to the red planet and the entire crew is killed.
Back on Earth, a second prototype has been stolen. Time is of the essence, V.I.P.E.R. was designed to dominate any environment. Mike Conners (Patrick Muldoon) is called in by the government to clean up the mess before thousands, possibly even millions of lives are lost. When evidence points to an inside job, it is up to the Conners and Dr. Burnham to find the culprits and somehow destroy the death machine she's created without a kill switch! |
